House of Batik Sdn Bhd is a company specializes in a wide spectrum of batik products ranging from batik paintings, batik accessories, batik soft furnishing to batik apparel. We are both a producer and wholesaler and have probably the largest stock of batik products in this part of the world. House of Batik’s resident artists produce majority of the batik paintings and batik accessories products. The remainder is produced by contract arrangement with independent artists, or purchases from open market especially those painting works from master artists. As for the batik soft furnishing and batik apparel, they are designed and produced mainly in our factory in Kelantan. As House of Batik buys the materials for batik making such as wax, canting, brush, cloth, and dye in bulk, we are able to bring the most competitive price in the market to our customers. Currently we are operating a retail shop in Central Market, Kuala Lumpur and a gallery at BB Park, Jalan Bukit Bintang. Besides that we also have our dealer network around Klang Valley such as KLCC, Bintang Walk, Jalan Ampang, 1- Utama, Sri Hartamas, Bangsar, Mid Valley, Putrajaya, Jonker Street in Melaka, and more to come. We manage to create great interest and attract big batik followers as the responses have been very encouraging. These products are appealing to all races and enjoying repeated sales especially among the expatriates and tourists. We will ensure that batik products from House of Batik are always a hallmark of high quality and distinction.

History

The House of Batik has a humble beginning in 2004 in when three friends who are graduated from UiTM in textile course has decided to open a business in textile and apparel industry. With the knowledge gain from related course that they are studying and also one of the friends who are the background of the family are experience in textile and apparel industry which are the producer of their own batik and also sells their own batik around Malaysia, the idea to starting the business is started. They have decided to sell the batik product as they see the batik product has its own uniqueness and value that can give them an advantage in future. The name House of Batik is chosen because the first place they are doing their business is only in a small but beauty house in the small village. The house is own by the one of the friend’s grandmother and the grandmother really kindhearted to give them to use the house as she lives alone in the house. Of course, they have searching for a suitable places to operate their business, but for the first time they are doing it in the house. Success did not come without painstaking patience and hard work. They always improvising and striving for get the best batik design and high quality to sell it to the customer in order to make their business successful. Now, House of Batik has is well known and they are one of the best batik sellers in Malaysia. House of Batik was increase their business with provided their own website and blog which peoples all around the world can take a look and purchases the batik products online.
